Weekly Roundup

I can not believe that it’s February already. That last week of January, when I was feeling under the weather, definitely dragged. This month though always absolutely flies by for us and it’s one that I love.

I’m already seeing signs of spring everywhere, bulbs are coming up and the snowdrops are out. The best person to follow for amazing photographs of wonderful flowers has to be Clive Nichols.

And Sarah Raven’s website is great for buying seeds and setting out what you can be doing in the garden at this time of year.

It snowed the other day, very lightly and it didn’t settle, but this is one of the reasons I love February. This jumper is perfect for snowy days.

I love the idea of teaching children about mindfulness, it’s a really useful aid to help us connect to our feelings and the world around us. This book is a lovely way to start.

We did the best experiment, the children all made different kinds of seed head, Dandelion, Maple and Shorea and then we watched how the floated on the air. They absolutely loved it and I would really recommend it. Have you been to your local science centre?
